Cool World Institute plans to hold a virtual, on-line teach-in on Earth Day, April 22, 2020. That date is the 50th anniversary of the original 1970 Earth Day, in which around 20 million people participated. The original Earth Day included a teach-in, and teach-ins have been an important part of Earth Day ever since.

In 2020, many Earth Day events planned around the world will be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. People are learning to participate in virtual meetings online because many have been ordered to work from home. This is a good time for a virtual teach-in.For more up-to-date information about the teach-in, including a tentative agenda, visit our teach-in page.
